Athlete Profile

Name:  Krista Pell

Hometown:  Kind of all over Canada, but I would say Guelph, Ontario as that is where I went to High School

How long have you been CrossFitting?
5 months

What is your favorite WOD/Exercise?  Overhead squat, push press or anything weight above head, GHD situps

What is your least favorite WOD/Exercise?
Deadlifts

What is your previous workout/athletic background?
Cheerleader/Gymnast all through high school and college, National Rugby team player for Cayman, I always end up doing a lot of running…even though I don’t enjoy it!

What was your first experience of CrossFit like?  Cindy, 8 and ½ rounds in 10 minutes.  Couldn’t move my arms for two days.  I was hooked.

What results have you seen since CrossFitting?
I am physically much tougher and stronger, without even realizing it was happening.  And I don’t eat dairy or grains anymore….so those results have been even better!

What’s your favorite aspect about working out at CrossFit Cayman?
Looking at the board and figuring out what time/result I have to get to be happy and near the top.  I am extremely competitive and love that I can track how I am doing as it compares to others.  I also love that I see the same faces most of the time which makes it a really comfortable situation…and that Matt and T push me to keep adding weight.

What advice do you have for someone thinking about joining CrossFit Cayman?
  What are you waiting for?
