How long have you been CrossFitting? Almost 2 years

What is your favorite WOD/Exercise? Any squats, as long as it's not overhead squats. 


What is your least favorite WOD/Exercise? Any WOD with rowing. 


What is your previous workout/athletic background? I played netball in school, and trained in a gym with my dad throughout highschool. 


What was your first experience at CrossFit Cayman like? I was nervous to join because the many acronyms and dropping barbells seemed very intimidating, but the team and CrossFit Cayman community were so welcoming. I was addicted from day 1. 

What results have you seen since CrossFitting? I am so much fitter, happier and healthier. 


What do you do to get yourself through a tough workout (mental thoughts, tips and tricks, etc.)? I think about how far I have come and the only way to continue seeing/feeling improvements is to push forward. My husband is also super competitive, so when I see him trying to stay ahead of me, it gives me a boost to push harder. 


What's your favorite aspect about working out at CrossFit Cayman? The coaches are fantastic. They know each person personally and will always push you, without pushing you past your limits. 


What advice do you have for someone thinking about joining CrossFit Cayman? 1. It's addictive - don't think about it, just sign up! 2. Have fun. It becomes a playground, where you compete with yourself, play with weights and do handstands (or scaled ones.) 3. Prepare to fall in love with a barbell and develop a complicated relationship with the pull-up bar. It's like a dysfunctional romance novel, but more chalk and fewer roses.
