How long have you been CrossFitting?

Almost 11 months

What is your favorite WOD/Exercise

WOD: Cindy (only WOD where I can do Rx I think); Exercise: Power Cleans.

What is your least favorite WOD/Exercise

Descending ladder type workouts that go like 21-18-15 ..  and where you've to keep track of too many rounds, reps, and sum up big scores.

What is your previous workout/athletic background

Just casually lifting weights and a bit of occasional sports.

Survived Cork half marathon under 1:50 once - never again.

What was your first experience at CrossFit Cayman like

Was great. Made me wonder how long it would take me to get as strong as the girls at the gym; still wondering.

What results have you seen since CrossFitting

First I got a few double unders (was surprised), then a few toes-to-bar, then a muscle up.

What do you do to get yourself through a tough workout (mental thoughts, tips and tricks)?

Physio can be pricey so take it easy anyway.

Showing up long term matters more than chasing Rx, PBs, or not finishing last in the class

Scale it down unless I've had a highly restorative sleep the night before.

What's your favorite aspect about working out at CrossFit Cayman?

No fear of anyone stealing your weights or barbell.

Best, and very kind, coaches.

Getting trained by (as well as next to) some of the strongest people.

Great air-con even when the gym shutter is fully open.

What advice do you have for someone thinking about joining CrossFit Cayman?

If you're thinking about it, don't think twice. Leave whatever other gym or classes you're going to on the island and just join. The gym is pretty spacious, tidy, owned and run by crossfit champions and some of the fittest people.
