How long have you been CrossFitting? A year to the date.

 

What is your favorite WOD/Exercise?   Anything with Hang power cleans and box jumps (and any partner workout with my WOD bestie Faustina :) )

 

 What is your least favorite WOD/Exercise? Thrusters and running  


What is your previous workout/athletic background?  I always played sports but was never consistent to be honest (tennis, field hockey, football) 


What was your first experience at CrossFit Cayman?  It was hard at first, especially because I hadn't worked out for so long but I instantly loved the community and the constant encouragement to get better. I also learnt that consistency is key to get results. Nothing happens overnight.


What results have you seen since CrossFitting?  I feel stronger, definitely fitter and more agile. I appreciate walking up a set of stairs without getting tired. I see it in everyday life. Also more resilient, no matter how hard something is, I will get through it,


What do you do to get yourself through a tough workout (mental thoughts, tips and tricks, etc.)?   I basically don't think about it. Just go for it, I will thank myself later. I never regret not showing up.  For long workouts, I learnt to manage my energy levels and don't burn out at the beginning, to go steady and slowly increase the intensity.


What's your favorite aspect about working out at CrossFit Cayman?  The constant challenge of learning new skills, the amazing group of people that is always rooting for me, even in my worst days. And shoutout to the coaches who took good care of me since the beginning.


What advice do you have for someone thinking about joining CrossFit Cayman?   To go for it without a doubt. It brings countless benefits to your everyday life and you meet amazing people.
